MatKings Privacy Policy.

Account information: your name, username, email address, password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash, never in plain text), phone number if you add and verify one, mailing address, and favorite team, if you choose to provide them.

Third-party sign-in information: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive the name, email address, and provider account identifier that provider shares with us to create or sign you into your MatKings account.

Contest and league information: the contests and private leagues you join, your roster picks and entries, and your standings and results.

Payment information: when you make a payment, our payment processor (Square or PayPal) handles your card or payment method details directly — MatKings does not receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of the transaction itself (amount, date, status, and a reference id from the processor) for support, accounting, and refund handling.

Support and communications: messages you send us, and your marketing email preference.

Technical information: your IP address and basic request information, used for account security, fraud and abuse prevention, and keeping you signed in during a session.

We use your information to create and secure your account, operate contests and private leagues, process payments and refunds, calculate standings, provide support, and protect the Site against fraud, abuse, and bot activity.

We send account-related emails you can't opt out of while your account is active — things like email verification, password reset, and purchase confirmations. If you opt in, we also send marketing emails about MatKings contests and features through our email provider, Brevo; you can opt out of marketing email at any time from your profile or the unsubscribe link in the email itself, without affecting the account emails you still need.

If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook instead of a MatKings password, that provider authenticates you and shares your name, email address, and account identifier with us so we can create or match you to a MatKings account. We don't receive or store your provider password. Your use of Google or Facebook's own sign-in service is also governed by that provider's own privacy policy and terms, which we don't control.

We share information with the service providers that help us run MatKings: our payment processors (Square, PayPal), our email/SMS provider (Brevo), and our hosting/infrastructure providers. We share only what each of them needs to do their job for us, and we don't allow them to use your information for their own separate marketing.

Your username, and any contest or league results tied to it, may be visible to other users according to the visibility rules for that specific contest or league (see the Terms of Service's Content & Data section). Your email address, phone number, and mailing address are never shown to other users.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect MatKings or our users from fraud or harm, or as part of a merger, sale, or transfer of the MatKings business — in which case this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including one-way password hashing, parameterized database access, and access controls that limit who and what can reach your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we design MatKings to deny access by default and to keep your account, payment, and contact details out of logs, diagnostics, and error reports.

You can review and update most of your account information from your Profile at any time, and opt out of marketing email whenever you'd like. To request a copy of your information, ask us to delete your account, or ask a question about your data, contact support@matkings.com. Where you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal details (like your name, email, and address) while keeping the underlying account record so contest results, league history, and payment records we're required to keep stay accurate for everyone else involved.

If you live in a state that grants additional privacy rights (for example, access, correction, or deletion rights under state privacy law), contact us at the email above and we'll work with you on your request.

MatKings requires all account holders to be at least 18 years old, and the Site is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@matkings.com and we'll address it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as MatKings changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
